Learning about seasons takes a lot of observations and communication…By that, means the outdoor activities and exploring the nature
And also indoor activities, like singing to your group of kids during circle time. Teach them the seasons in a fun way!
1) Four Seasons
In the spring the flowers bloom
The cold is gone
It can get windy and rainy
Days are just a little zany
In the summer comes the heat
And days are long
I wear sunscreen and sunglasses
I play sports, take fewer classes
In the fall the leaves turn brown
And drop from trees
We can pile the leaves up high
And then jump in like we can fly
Then comes winter with the cold
And sometimes snow
We will dress in our warm clothes
And cover up from head to toe
2) In Summer
Pour on lotion, Rub it in.
Perfect for my summer skin.
On my bike, Or in the pool
A sip of water, Keeps me cool.
Shades are on Flip-flops, too.
In summer there’s so much to do!
3) Mister Sun
Oh, mister sun, sun, Mister golden sun,
Please shine down on me!
Oh, mister sun, sun, mister golden sun,
Hiding behind a tree…
These little children are asking you
To please come out so we can play with you
Oh, mister sun, sun, mister golden sun,
Please shine down on me!
4) Leaves are falling
(Tune Jingle Bells)
Leave are falling, leaves are falling,
One fell on my nose!
Leaves are falling, leaves are falling,
One fell on my toes!
Leaves are falling, leaves are falling,
One fell on my head!
Leaves are falling, leaves are falling,
Yellow, orange and red!
5) Fall
( Tune of Are you sleeping? )
Leaves are falling, leaves are falling
To the ground, without a sound.
Days are getting shorter, nights are growing longer.
Fall is here, Fall is here.
6) Winter Song
( Tune of Farmer in the Dell )
Let’s sing a winter song, let’s sing a winter song,
The days are short, the nights are long,
Let’s sing a winter song.
The winter wind is cold, the winter wind is cold,
It freezes noses, ears, and toes,
The winter wind is cold.
Winter is now here, winter is now here,
Put on your coat, your hat, your gloves,
Winter is here!
7) The Mittens on My Hands
(Tune of Wheels on the Bus)
The mittens on my hands
keep me warm, keep me warm, keep me warm
The mittens on my hands
Keep me warm, all winter long!
8) Spring Song
( Tune of The Farmer in the Dell )
The sun is shining bright, the sun is shining bright,
Oh how I love the warmth, the sun is shining bright
The rain is falling down, the rain is falling down,
Oh how I love the sound, the rain is falling down
The flowers start to bloom, the flowers start to bloom
Oh how I love the sight, the flowers start to bloom
9) Good Morning Little Bluebird
Good morning little bluebird, bluebird, bluebird.
Good morning little bluebird, so glad to see you.
Good morning to the flowers, flowers, flowers
Good morning to the flowers, so glad to see you.
Good morning to the raindrops, raindrops, raindrops,
Good morning to the raindrops, so glad to see you.
Good morning to the springtime, springtime, springtime
Good morning to the springtime, so glad to see you.
